Project Coordination & Results Leveraging

Overall supervision of the project in all its dimensions (administrative, financial and technical).

Manufacturing Strategies & Design

The technical requirements to the LAY2FORM manufacturing concept and integrated processes will be mapped and the respective development and demonstration conditions will be defined in detail.

WP3

Forming & Cutting Processes

The scope of this WP is the lab-scale development and proof-of-concept of hybrid composite-metal manufacturing processes.

WP4

Bonding & Disassembly Processes

The development of the different strategies concerning the interlayer processes involved in the LAY2FORM manufacturing process.

WP5

Digital Systems & Interoperability

The development of an end-to-end engineering approach and the respective digital system, covering all the LAY2FORM manufacturing chain.

System Demonstration & Sustainability

Building a system that will help to simulate the LAY2FORM manufacturing concept.

  • INEGI hosts launch of LAY2FORM Project

    INEGI hosts launch of LAY2FORM Project

    Last October, it took place at INEGI the launch of LAY2FORM, a Horizon 2020 European project which aims to manufacture a pilot line for manufacturing hybrid parts, composed of sheets of metal and composite sheets. In the pilot line, several technologies will be integrated to perform non-destructive tests in line with the zero-defect targets. Furthermore, simulation and online monitoring technologies will be used to make corrections to the process parameters using self-learning technologies.
